Wollongong Touch Association’s season 2 fixture runs from July – November, and caters for all abilities and ages.

Monday nights is for the Women’s and Men’s competition. Tuesday night is the Mixed competition night.

There are high divisions for those more serious, while our lower divisions suit those teams who enjoy a social run around.

Registration is $900 per team.

Wollongong Touch will help you and your team step into the sport of touch, Wollongong Touch Association has a proud history in the Illawarra area one of the oldest affiliated competition on the South Coast.

Wollongong Touch is an affiliated competition with New South Wales Touch Association this allows an excellent pathway to representative touch with several players and officials advancing to represent Australia at recent World Cup events.

With a high level of players and coaches, WTA are happy to help and assist teams and individuals with coaching sessions during the competition.

 GENERAL COMPETITIONS

Men’s & Women’s Competitions are played on Monday nights and Mixed Competitions are played on Tuesday nights.

A game of Touch Football is over in just 45 minutes. A standard game is split into two 20-minute periods with a half-time break. Given the social nature of the sport, players tend to arrive at their local field anywhere from 30 minutes to one minute before their game is set to commence.

Touch Football has several inherent mental and physical benefits, which can improve the longevity of a person’s life. Touch Footballers are constantly on the move, walking, running, jumping, stepping and everything in between. The fast-paced nature of the sport ensures participants are always getting a workout no matter what they are doing.

Touch Football is a terrific way to stay fit and get fit Wollongong has an excellent Competition with divisions of Men’s, Women’s and Mixed along with a large Junior competition conducted in term 4 of the school year.

With no formal training expectations, Touch Football is the perfect sport for the person who is time poor but keen to keep active, in the most social environment possible. Participants can arrive, play and leave their local field in under an hour.
