The Wollongong Devils returned from the 2018 Junior State Cup (#NSWJSC) with their best results since the tournament moved to Port Macquarie!

Congratulation to all players, referees, coaches & parents. What a tremendous show of club spirit. We are #clubproud of every single one of our representatives, and the brilliant results were a bonus for an already successful weekend.

Our U16 Girls played unreal, progressing to the semi final with wins against Balmain Tigers (2-1) & Northern beaches Renegades (6-5), but the WaggaVipers were just too strong, winning 5-2. Meanwhile, the U12 Girls made up for their loss in the Southern Suns Regionals final, beating Wagga (3-1). In the quarter final, they played out a 1-touchdown thriller against Orange, the Thunder came away with the win (1-0).

The U10 Boys had a 4-0 loss to Taree Flames in the round of 16. The U16 Boys lost to Manly Warringah Sea Eagles, 6-2. The U12 Boys won their first game against Port Makos 4-3, before losing to Bankstown Jets by the same scoreline in the quarters. After dropping their first two games of the tournament, our U18 Boys showed outstanding attitude to beat Taree 4-4 (first try scorer rule) before they were bundled out by the Central Coast Dolphins in the quarters.

Thank you to all players, coaches, parents & referees for another great weekend. Players, coaches and referees were thanked for their dedication at a presentation afternoon at North Wollongong Hotel. For photos, click here!

Now bring on #NSWJSC19 in Wagga!
