The preliminary rounds of the 2018 NSWTA Junior State Cup have come to a close, with Wollongong’s status as a powerhouse intact.

All 8 teams punched above their weight, recording 33 victories across both days, with 6 teams progressing to finals.

Age group results for the first two days of competition are as follows:

U12 girls: 6 wins, 1 draw and play Wagga Vipers
U14 girls: 4 wins, 3 losses
U16 girls: 4 wins, 2 losses and play Balmain Tigers
U10 boys: 4 wins, 2 losses, and play Taree Flames
U12 boys: 4 wins, 1 draw, 1 loss and play Port Makos
U14 boys: 3 wins, 2 losses, 1 draw
U16 boys: 4 wins, 2 losses, and play Manly Sea Eagles
U18 boys: 4 wins, 2 losses and play Taree Flames

The weekend has already been a great success for the club before a whistle has even been blown in finals day. All players and officials are commended for the way in which they have conducted themselves so far, and parents are reminded to keep these core principles in mind:
