Wollongong Touch Association are seeking Expressions of Interest for players wishing to trial for Wollongong Devils representative teams to compete in the 2020 Vawdon Cup Competition.
Vawdon Cup is a weekly competition conducted throughout the Sydney Metropolitan area catering for Open & Youth divisions. In previous years games have been typically played on Friday evenings, with some Sunday double header fixtures across the competition however, given our current situation with COVID-19 this structure may be a little different this season.
At this stage we are unsure if the Vawdon Cup Competition will go ahead but we are hopeful it will be run on a similar time frame to last year – late August through late October. All dates for the event will be confirmed in the near future by NSW Touch.
WTA are looking to enter teams in the following divisions:
– Men’s Premier League & Men’s Open Divisions (Born 2005 or before)
– Women’s Open (Born 2005 or before)
– Boy’s Youth League (Born between 2003 and 2007)
– Girl’s Youth League (Born between 2003 and 2007)

We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation so that we are ready to proceed as soon as restrictions allow. Trial dates have been tentatively set down for Sunday 28 June and Sunday 5 July however, these dates will be confirmed closer to the time.
